Woman Riding Her Bike Through Phoenix Desert Finds a Body in a Suitcase.
Imagine going out for your morning bike ride, you know, just getting in your cardio for the day and you make a gruesome discovery.
Well, that's exactly what happened to one woman in Phoenix earlier today.
The unidentified biker was traveling on a popular stretch of land near Cave Creek Road and Tatum Boulevard. The area is mostly used for hiking by the locals.
She says she was riding her bike when she came across what looked like to be a human head sticking out of a "large" piece of luggage and it was covered in what looked like blood.
"I looked at it, I ride by it, and I noticed a head. It was wet and I kind of noticed a knee or something, a leg coming out," she said.
The frightened woman immediately called 9-1-1 to report her finding. The city of Phoenix sent the authorities right away and they spent all day, and most of the night, securing the crime scene and looking for clues.
The body was confirmed to be that of a 39-year-old woman by the name of Jennifer Beede but no other details have been released.
