Oh No Baby, What Are You Doing? Police Looking for 9-1-1 Dispatcher Who Hung Up on Callers in Need!

Right about now everybody knows that New Orleans is in desperate need of help. They've suffered serious hardship and bounced back only to face it again. Now, one of their own, who promised to help them, has allegedly done just the opposite.

According to WLTV, officers are looking for Precious Stephens, a 25-year-old woman who faces charges of malfeasance in office and interfering with an emergency communication for an August 23 incident.

Stephens deliberately disconnected 911 calls without getting emergency information or transferring the calls to other dispatchers, hanging up on people calling for help.

Although this incident happened before Hurricane Ida descended on the town, there were still people there in need of emergency assistance that they didn't receive.

New Orleans police have said that they will arrest Stephens the minute they can find her because, as of right now, her location is unknown.

We hope Stephens turns herself in soon and that this situation doesn't get any worse. We know she's probably frightened but, we've all got to face the consequences of our actions at one time or another.

Anyone with additional information on Precious Stephens’ whereabouts is asked to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030," the statement said.

Anyone willing to share information that can help police in the investigation can call CrimeStoppers at 504.822.1111 or toll-free 1.877.903.7867
