A fiery crash in Houston has left three people dead and one teenaged boy at the center of a heinous crime. Police were called around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 5800 block of Fairdale Lane.Reports from Texas say that a 17-year-old valet, who was on the job, took a customer's car and started doing "donuts" in it in the parking lot of the establishment. At some point he must have lost control of the car and ran over three other young valet drivers were were spectating.
The driver, identified by police as Ahmedal Tayeb Elnouman Modawi, is charged with three counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.
According to Houston police, Modawi was spotted by officers doing donuts in a white Infiniti G37 in a parking lot when they tried to stop him.
Authorities say Modawi then took off down Fairdale Lane before losing control and crashing into the three young men, who were near Prospect Park Sports Bar, where they worked as valets.
The Infiniti then flipped and hit an object.
Police determined Modawi was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Sources say Modawi is also a valet driver and works across the street from the scene of the deadly crash at Cafe Mawal, a restaurant and hookah lounge.
The teen and his male passenger, another valet driver, each sustained a broken leg in the crash. They were taken to the hospital.
There is no mugshot for the teen at this time because he's in the hospital recovering from his injuries. Our prayers are with the families of the deceased.
