St. Louis Man Charged with the Murder of His Ex-Girlfriend, and Mother of His Children, Who Was Previously Reported Missing.
A St. Louis man has been charged with murder after the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend.
Trenton Ivy, 31, was arrested in Racine, Wisconsin, on charges of using a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest by an officer and fleeing from an officer in a vehicle. At the time of his arrest, he had been driving a vehicle belonging to Marquisha Williams, 29, who had been reported missing days earlier.
Williams was last seen, with Ivy, in her 2020 Jeep Compass near Cook and Spring avenues in north St. Louis, St. Louis County Police said.
Them being seen together wasn't necessarily unusual. Williams and Ivy share four children together.
Her family reported her disappearance to police Dec. 20, after she dropped off her kids at daycare centers and at relatives’ houses, but didn’t show up to her work shift that morning, her family has said in local television reports.
Detectives say that when Ivy was stopped in Racine, they searched Williams' vehicle and found blood and "biological material" in the jeep along with personal items that belonged to Williams. During his interrogation Ivy said that he and Williams had an argument that became physical. When pressed to answer about the blood in the vehicle, Ivy admitted to investigators that he'd killed Williams and disposed of her body.
The location of Williams' remains hasn't been found but, her loved ones have not given up hope of finding her to give her a proper burial.
Ivy was being held in custody in Racine without bond.
