What better birthday present could a hopeful woman ask for than a new hit song and an engagement?!
One lucky woman has gotten then both!
For her 46th birthday, March 17th, Tamar Braxton dropped a new single and announced her engagement to a man she met while doing her reality show. We previously reported that Braxton, along with former Basketball Wives cast member Evelyn Lozada and singer Nivea, had teamed up for a show to find love called "Queens Court". Love seemed to find two out of the three with Nivea choosing to stay single during the show's finale.
Lozada announced her engagement to her finalist Lavon Lewis last night and then, just hours later, Braxton made an announcement of her own.
She'd gotten engaged to her Queens Court finalist, Jeremy "JR" Robinson, as well. An update at the end of the episode confirmed that, six months later, the couple remain together and have been planning their wedding.
"I knew I was different than my siblings," the singer, 45, told Robinson. "I prayed for somebody to understand me and not look at me and my flaws and just accept me for who I am. And then I met you. And then I saw every single that I ever prayed for as a child."
This was definitely a hard secret for Braxton and her close circle to keep under wraps for the last six months but, a wonderful one nonetheless.
To further add to the excitement Braxton has released a new single "Changed" to solidify the fact that she is, indeed, a new woman. Take a listen.
"Changed" is the first single from Braxton's upcoming album that has yet to be named. In the meantime, before the album's release, Braxton is touring the U.S. with her next date April 1 in Washington D.C.
