Wilson is now starring in a new IFC film "Paint" where he portrays a soft-spoken, super gentle painter with a soothing voice. The character, who has an uncanny resemblance to Bob Ross, famed television host of "The Joy of Painting" that aired from January 11, 1983, to May 17, 1994. On "The Joy of Painting" Ross would create a painting live while engaging his audience in conversation about the "happy little trees" or clouds that were featured.

Now, Wilson's movie is set to take this story to a different level with a spin.

Here's the official synopsis:

Owen Wilson stars as Carl Nargle, Vermont's #1 public TV painter who is convinced he has it all: a signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke… until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves.
