Detroit Man Shoots and Kills His Two Cousins, Then Turns the Gun on Himself, After an Argument.
A Detroit family has found themselves thrown into a time of mourning just two days into the new year. What started as an argument between two brothers and their cousin turned deadly and has left their family, and the surrounding community, wondering why.
According to Channel 4 News in Detroit, police responded to a call in the area of Bewick and Charlevoix Streets on Detroit’s east side at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
Officials say there was a dispute between two brothers, a 26-year-old and a 17-year-old, inside their home which is when their cousin, 29, shot both of them.
One brother died on the scene. The other was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The 29-year-old man, the brothers’ cousin, fled the scene and was discovered to have fired a shot into another home on Bewick Street. No one inside that home was injured.
While canvassing the neighborhood, and surrounding area, for the suspect police found him dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At this time, there are no details on what started the argument and the victims, and suspect, have not been publicly identified.
