Georgia Man Accused of Raping Women He Lured Using Social Media.

An 18-year-old Georgia man has been arrested after police say he raped several women. Demetrius Roam allegedly raped five women from his area after luring them on social media.

DeKalb County Police Maj. A.T. Mears told FOX 5's Deidra Dukes that "Roam found his victims on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. The victims are in their late teens and early-20s.

"He befriended them, started chatting with them, went through a process. He would get them to come to this area then he would sexually assault them," the major said."

Roam became a suspect after authorities, who were questioning the victims, started noticing similarities in their stories. "A lot of the things that were done were identical and that led us to identify that this was one person, not random crimes, and that led us back to Mr. Roam," Mears said.

Roam not only raped the women but, he was armed and robbed them as well. DeKalb authorities believe there may have been other victims who have yet to come forward. If you have information on any more potential victims, or other details in the case against Roam, the DeKalb County PD is asking for your help.

We're glad this man is off the streets!
