Louisiana Mother Charged with Murder of Her Own Baby!

A Louisiana mother has finally learned her fate after allegedly abusing her children and causing the death of her infant. Sharon Johnson, 29, was accused of the abuse of her two-year-old daughter and he 9-month-old son.

Shreveport Police Department released a statement saying:

"On May 2, 2020, Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to the 4700 Hilry Huckabee III Drive in reference to a 9-month-old child who was suffering from multiple blunt force injuries to his body. The infant was transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital where he later died.

Investigators with the Homicide Unit and the Youth Services Bureau responded and launched a joint investigation into the matter. Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to photograph the scene and collect articles of evidence.

On October 3, 2020, following a months-long investigation that included the gathering of other evidence and interviews with witnesses, detectives procured a warrant charging Sharon Johnson (DOB 6-9-1991) with one count of Second Degree Murder. Johnson is the child’s mother. Bond was set at $500,000.00. Johnson was already being held on charges of Second Degree Cruelty to Juveniles stemming from the battery of her 2-year-old daughter who also lived in the home."

Johnson gave no motive for the alleged abuse.

There is something wrong in this country. There are too many cases of child abuse and infanticide is on the rise. Whether we need to focus more on the mental health of our citizens or the overall well-being of mothers with young children. Something is wrong here. . .
