Pregnant Woman Missing and the FBI Searches Her Ex-Boyfriend's Home.
33-year-old Kassanndra Cantrell was reported missing last Wednesday by her family after they say, she failed to show up at a prenatal exam.
The woman, who lives with her parents, mysteriously disappeared and her vehicle was found by the Tacoma Dome. Her cellphone and debit card are being monitored but, there has been no activity on either.
“This is not normal, she wouldn’t just vanish…I just need her back," Marie Smith, Cantrell's mother, told Q13.
"She just said 'have a good day at work' I said 'thank you'. She said 'love you' and I said 'love you'. And that was the last time," said Smith about her last conversation with her daughter.
Cantrell's family insist that she was excited about her pregnancy and wouldn't have voluntarily missed her prenatal exam because it was for an ultrasound and she would have gotten to see her growing baby.
Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Ed Troyer said the case is being treated as a homicide investigation. Investigators are working as quickly as possible, Troyer said.
“I'd just like my baby to come home with me so she can have her baby…I need her to come home,” said Smith.
Cantrell's ex-boyfriend, and the presumed father of her child, had his home searched in connection with her disappearance but he wasn't there at the time. Although he is NOT being listed as a suspect in her disappearance, he has not officially been ruled out as a person of interest.
We really hope this woman comes home safe to her family. There have been SO MANY cases of pregnant women that end up missing or murdered, like Keierra McNeil, and, even though many suspect the culprit, no one gets arrested.
Cantrell is described as being 5 feet and 7 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair. If you have any information on Cantrell’s whereabouts, you’re asked to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
