Nearly 100 Infected with COVID-19 After One Man Attends Church.

Nearly 100 people were infected with the COVID-19 virus after one infected man went to church! According to CNN the unidentified 56-year-old man went to church in mid-June causing an outbreak of the virus in huge proportions.

"It spread like wildfire, wildfire. Very, very scary," Gov. Mike De Wine said Tuesday. "We know that our faith-based leaders want nothing more than to protect those who come to worship."

Following this man's visit to church a total of 53 people got sick. 18 of those churchgoers then spread the virus to at least one other person.

One instance of spread was a family in which a 34-year-old man became sick. His 31-year-old wife also became infected, as did four children who range in age from 1 to 11.

The wife and two children of the 56-year-old man were also infected with the virus.

In total, 91 people were infected directly and indirectly by contact with this one man. Governor De Wine didn't disclose the seriousness of their illnesses but the virus symptoms range from NO SYMPTOMS to what some describe as extreme pneumonia that requires being placed on a ventilator.

The state of Ohio has just over 96,000 thousand cases and it is also one of the states that has a mandatory mask order.

Govenor De Wine is urging anyone who goes out in public to please wear a mask, even in church. Just this week he mandated that children returning to school, in grades K-12, wear masks as well. This was an amendment to his previous order that required anyone older than the age of 10 to wear a mask.
