Biloxi Man Flags Down Cops and Confessed to Killing His Wife.

Just after midnight this morning Biloxi police say they were flagged down on their route by a man who said that he wanted to "turn himself in". 43-year-old Michael Edward Reis then lead the police to his home on the corner of Popps Ferry Road and Sunkist Country Club Road. That’s where they found 40-year-old Jennifer Reis dead from a gunshot wound.

Reis was taken into custody immediately. Just a few hours later police officials were still on the scene at the home removing what appeared to be a large black safe filled with guns and dozens of paper bags filled with other evidence.

The homeowner, who was not at the house when investigators pulled out the safe, told WLOX the safe belongs to him and neither Michael nor Jennifer had access to its contents.

This is the second shooting to happen in this area in the last week. Madison Harris, 16, was shot and killed Feb. 24 inside her home on Rustwood Drive, just blocks away. Five teenagers are now charged with capital murder in her death.

As of right now Reis hasn't stated his motive for murdering his wife and he remains behind bars at the Harrison County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
