17-Year-Old Charged with Incest After Raping 11-Year-Old "100 Times" and She Gives Birth t

Norvin Leonidas Lopez-Cante was charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and incest after police said he admitted to having sex with an 11-year-old family member about 100 times.

Police started investigating the 17-year-old boy when Lopez-Cante's father, Francisco Javier Gonzalez-Lopez went to an area hospital with a newborn baby on Tuesday. His father told authorities that someone had dropped the baby off on the family's porch. The child was so new it still had the umbilical cord and placenta attached. The baby was presumed to not have been in the elements long because his body temperature was about 90 degrees.

When police went to interview Gonzalez-Lopez at his residence two days later he admitted to them that the child's father was his son, Lopez-Cante, and that the child's mother was an 11-year-old relative.

Gonzalez-Lopez told police that he had no previous knowledge of his son's sexual relationship with the young girl, or of her pregnancy, until she gave birth in their bathtub.

According to KSDK:

"After police read Lopez-Cante his Miranda rights, he told police he had sex with the girl about 100 times but did not know she was pregnant. He said he did not know when he first had sex with her but said it happened about twice a week.

Lopez-Cante was charged with first-degree statutory rape, statutory sodomy and incest. His bond was set at $25,000, cash-only.

Gonzalez-Lopez was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for his role in the incident. His bond was set at $10,000, cash only.

Charging documents said he entered the country illegally and was previously deported."

At this time, nothing has been said about the condition of the child or the young mother. We can only presume, like in any other case, that the Department of Child Protective Services has stepped in and taken custody of them both.

If convicted Lopez-Cante could face up to life in prison. His father will more than likely be deported again if he hasn't squared up his residency paperwork.
