Disney+ Planning an All New "Hocus Pocus"!
The much anticipated new streaming service "Disney+" is shaking things up before it even drops! Sources say that the fledgeling streamer is planning on a reboot of their 1993 hit movie "Hocus Pocus"!
The original film starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters who, although burned to death centuries before, came back to life on Halloween to lure children to their demise. The movie was an instant cult classic and many are wondering if a reboot is even necessary!?
It seems nearly everyone is sharing the same sentiment demanding that the original cast be included or. . . keep the change.
However, not everyone is glum about the revival. Some are beyond excited!
We're in the middle of the road on this one. The movie is definitely a seasonal favorite and it either needs to be done with the original cast OR completely rebooted with a different plot. Lord knows they've got a big cauldron to fill with this one.
As of yet, Bette Midler (Sarah or Kathy) has not confirmed, denied OR EVEN MENTIONED the remake.
In the meantime, since we're talking about spin-offs and reboots. Check out our "Hocus Pocus" inspired merch in our store. "HoeKissPoeKiss" is as close as we're going to the real thing around here!
Disney+ is set to debut November 12, 2019 with tons of premium content as well as old Disney, Pixar and Marvel favorites.
There's even a live action revival of the old cartoon "Lady and the Tramp" starring Tessa Thompson, Justin Theroux and Yvette Nicole Brown.
