KFC Bringing Out Plant-Based "Beyond Chicken" to the Atlanta Area!

With all of the chicken wars going on between "Popeye's" and "Chick-Fil-A", "KFC" has decided to bust out of the chicken coop with something totally different!

A few weeks ago "Burger King" was one of the first fast food joints to drop a plant-based "Impossible Whopper" with the "Impossible Company's" plant-based meat substitute. I'm not saying I've eaten the sandwich but what I am saying is. . . IT'S DELICIOUS!

With more and more chains offering vegetarian and vegan substitutes one would have thought that "KFC" would be one of the few that couldn't possibly cross over but, we were wrong! The chicken chain has linked up with "Beyond Meat" and created something that has piqued our interest!

BEHOLD "BEYOND FRIED CHICKEN"!

"The new plant-based option will be available in nugget forms or as boneless wings.

“I think we’ve all heard ‘it tastes like chicken’ – well our customers are going to be amazed and say, ‘it tastes like Kentucky Fried Chicken," said Kevin Hochman, president and chief concept officer, KFC U.S.

It'll be available at a store in Atlanta starting Tuesday. If all goes well, it could roll out nationally.

The Atlanta store is at 2637 Cobb Parkway."

If you're in the Atlanta area we need you to go grab a bucket then report back to us! I've been a vegetarian for 10 years and I promise you I miss the taste of some good ole KFC. If it tastes anything like the original recipe, I'm gonna need one of y'all to FedEx me a bucket!
