Grand Jury Indicts Derion Vence with Tampering with a Corpse in Maleah Davis Murder Case!

Just weeks after little Maleah Davis was laid to rest the community is finally getting some answers. Autopsy reports show that Maleah died of "homicidal violence" and her death was NOT an accident like her mother's boyfriend, Derion Vence, stated.

The world has been watching, and waiting impatiently, for charges to be brought against Vence for Maleah's death and, right now, we've received the tip of what we hope to be an iceberg of charges.

Derion Vence has been formally indicted on charges of tampering with a corpse.

Via KHOU:

"According to the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, an "indictment" is the "written statement of a grand jury accusing a person therein named of some act or omission which, by law, is declared to be an offense."

KHOU 11 Legal Analyst Gerald Treece said the return of an indictment "supersedes" the charge.

"They got [Vence] where they want him. Because of that they have a better chance of developing witnesses for a murder case," said KHOU 11 Legal Analyst Gerald Treece. "The DA is handling this very well."

At this point, although the progress has been slow, we're thankful that the state prosecutors haven't given up on this case and are taking their time to being EVERYONE to justice.

No additional charges have been filed, but the Harris County District Attorney’s Office said when prosecutors receive a final autopsy report from the Medical Examiner’s Office, that evidence will be considered as part of any decision regarding possible additional charges.

If you recall, thousands of us have been waiting for Maleah's mother, Brittany Bowens, to be brought up on charges for leaving Maleah with Vence KNOWING that he has a history of abusing her.

Take your time guys. We want EVERYONE brought to justice for failing this little angel!
