Old Navy Issues a Public Apology and FIRES the Employee Who Wrongfully Accused a Shopper!

Talk about fast acting! Yesterday we reported about an incident surrounding Lisa Calderon who made a trip to an Old Navy clothing store in Canada to return an item. She said when she walked into the store she felt a bad vibe so left to go to another store. Before she could even make it out of the shopping center she was stopped by an Old Navy employee and accused of stealing the shirt she was wearing!

The employee mentioned ON CAMERA that she saw video footage of Calderon NOT wearing the shirt then exiting the store wearing it. Calderon became upset about the accusation and irate when the employee, identified as Stephanie, grabbed her wrist and refused to let her go.

The entire incident was caught on film and if you'd like to see it, click here.

Old Navy issued a statement saying that they were investigating the incident and vowed to get to the bottom of it. . . . and they did!

Within 24 hours of the original story being made public they issued a public apology and FIRED the wayward employee!

Their District Manager reached out to Calderon personally and the apology from the company was posted to their twitter account!

Hopefully this type of incident doesn't happen again.

After the apology, would you still proceed with your lawsuit if this had happened to you?
