Florida Man Arrested for Killing His Wife and Leaving Her Body for Their Children to Find.

It may be safe to say at this point that nothing shocks us anymore but, some things are just hard to hear. This case is one of them. 29-year-old Nelonza Pugh was arrested yesterday just hours after the Orange County Sheriff's Office held a press conference where he was named a person of interest in the death of his wife.

Pugh's wife, 29-year-old Brooke Jenkins-Pugh, was found dead by her children, who range in ages between 2 and 13, when they woke up for school the morning after they heard their parents arguing. The children immediately called 9-1-1 for help but Pugh was no where to be found.

This isn't his first go-round with the law either. Nelonza Pugh has a record of criminal and violent offenses such as attempted second-degree murder and cocaine trafficking.

Sheriff John Mina has called this homicide “another tragic instance of domestic violence in our community, right before Christmas.”

There has been no public information on who is caring for the children but authorities do say that the children were unharmed. There was also no record of previous domestic violence between the couple.

At some point in the very near future, we're going to have to address why men decide to kill their women instead of just walking away. What is so wrong with some of these men that they choose to use violence instead of using their words to end a disagreement? Where is the disconnect that is causing some men, and women, to take a life instead of taking a walk?

We're grateful that their children weren't physically harmed but this is going to have a lasting effect on who they become in life. Let's pray they are surrounded with love and positivity.
