Missing Baby in Virginia Sparks a Hunt Ahead of the Expected Hurricane!

Authorities in Roanoke, Virginia are on the hunt for a missing 3-month-old baby girl who went missing on the night of September 11th. Little Arieanna Day seemingly vanished without a trace from her crib sometime after 10pm.

Via Virginia First:

"According to Roanoke police, the mother of the baby was put down in her crib around 10 p.m. Wednesday night on the 1100 block of Hanover NW in Roanoke. The mother told police she went into the kitchen and about an hour later, she went to check on her and the baby wasn't there. The residence wasn't locked.

The father of the baby told police he doesn't have the child and both parents have been cooperating.

Police are searching an address of interest in Blacksburg.

According to police, the circumstances don't meet the criteria for an AMBER Alert."

We've done some research to find out exactly WHAT does constitute issuing an AMBER Alert. It seems that Police must have sufficient descriptive information and "the law enforcement agency" has to believe "that the child is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death." Since little Arieanna's disappearance is so void of details, her case doesn't qualify.

There were five other children in the house at the time but only Arieanna was taken. The baby's grandmother, Sophia Bryant, told the local news station that she wants "justice" and that she wants her granddaughter back safely. She also added "This is very painful for me, because I don’t know if she’s living. I don’t know where she’s at. 'We suspect who may have took the baby, but we really don’t know.'

This is a lot for this family to be going through while the entire East Coast is bracing itself for Hurricane Florence.

We are pleading with anyone who has information on this case to contact National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678), referencing case number 1338465.

Let's pray this little one gets home safely!
