Mega Church Pastor, Joel Osteen, is in Over His Head. The People Sound Off! [LISTEN]
In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Pastor Joel Osteen has come under fire for not opening the doors of his church to provide shelter to displaced citizens. Hundreds of photos have surfaced showing everyone from senior citizens to infants struggling to cope during this horrendous storm and many of them are battling waist-deep water in their homes while they wait to be evacuated.
According to TMZ:
"Church officials say this one's out of Joel's hands though -- and point out the streets surrounding the church are already so flooded ... Lakewood is inaccessible."
Inaccessible? Not according to the people who live in the area.
Watch this video, posted just yesterday that proves differently.
The church, which used to be the Compaq Sports Arena, reportedly seats 17,000 people and is one of the biggest in the city.
